Terms of Service
These terms describe use of WordPaper, an Android app that generates a daily vocabulary word and lock-screen wallpaper, its accounts, subscriptions, and ad rewards. The Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled. Contact info@wordpaperapp.com with service or billing questions.
The service
WordPaper generates one vocabulary word per day, made of the word, its pronunciation, a translation, a short definition, and an example sentence, together with an AI-generated lock-screen wallpaper showing that word, based on your chosen language, target language, CEFR level, and wallpaper style. A daily reminder, scheduled on your device by the app, tells you when the word is ready.
You can tap Set as lock screen to apply the wallpaper to your device's lock screen. WordPaper keeps a history of past words and a streak count. Word and wallpaper content is generated by AI and is provided for practice, not as a certified translation or an accredited qualification.
Your account
You sign in to WordPaper with your Google account; there is no other way to create or use an account. Keep your Google account secure and do not access another user's account. Contact support if you suspect someone else has accessed your account.
You are responsible for the settings and feedback messages you submit. The public account-deletion page is available to help you manage access.
Plans and daily word limits
The free plan includes one welcome word when you start, and no unconditional daily word after that. Where rewarded ads are available, completing one rewarded ad unlocks the first word of the day, and completing three more unlocks a second, for up to two words per day. The free plan also shows banner and interstitial ads. A Pro subscription includes six words per day, one of them prepared for you automatically. A Premium subscription includes sixteen words per day, one of them prepared automatically. Pro and Premium show no ads of any kind.
Extra words from a rewarded ad are credited after the ad provider verifies completion, which may take time. Starting, closing, or interrupting an ad does not by itself establish that a reward is due. Daily limits reset once per day; the app shows your remaining words for the day.
Subscriptions, prices, and renewal
Pro and Premium subscriptions are purchased through Google Play Billing. Checkout identifies the product, price and currency, billing period, and applicable taxes before you confirm payment. Your store account is charged according to those displayed terms.
An automatically renewing subscription continues until you cancel renewal through Google Play. Our server verifies your purchase receipt with Google Play and receives Play real-time notifications to keep your plan up to date. A receipt is bound to the WordPaper account that made the purchase.
Changes to subscription prices or renewal terms follow Google Play's applicable notification and consent requirements.
Cancellation, refunds, and missing purchases
Manage or cancel your subscription in Google Play using the Google account that made the purchase. Cancellation normally stops a future renewal; paid access continues until the verified expiry unless a refund or other store action ends it earlier.
Uninstalling WordPaper or deleting your WordPaper account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it separately in Google Play if you want billing to stop.
Refund eligibility depends on the purchase, location, applicable law, and Google Play's policy. Contact info@wordpaperapp.com for help with an incorrect charge or a plan that did not activate after purchase. Do not send payment-card details or passwords to support.
AI output
Generated words, translations, definitions, example sentences, and wallpapers can contain mistakes or inaccuracies. Check a translation or definition before relying on it if accuracy matters to you. WordPaper does not guarantee fluency or a particular learning outcome.
Acceptable use
Use WordPaper lawfully. Do not submit unlawful content in feedback messages, harass people, distribute malicious software, probe accounts you do not own, disrupt the service, or bypass account creation, daily limits, or store verification. Do not manipulate ad callbacks, identifiers, or devices to obtain unearned rewards.
WordPaper's branding, interface, and original materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property rights. You may use them through the service for their intended purpose.
Service interruptions and account closure
Maintenance, network failures, and outages at Google, Google Play, or AdMob can interrupt a feature. Report persistent problems to support.
We may restrict access where needed to address unlawful use, a security threat, or a material breach of these terms. Where appropriate and lawful, we will explain the reason and allow you to contact support.
You can stop using WordPaper and delete your account through Profile > Settings > Delete account. Deletion permanently removes the active account data described in the Privacy Policy and cannot be recovered on another device or after reinstalling.
Your legal rights and resolving a problem
Nothing in these terms excludes a right, warranty, remedy, or liability that applicable law does not allow to be excluded. Contact info@wordpaperapp.com with a description and the account email involved if the service or a purchase has a problem.
Changes to these terms
The date and version above identify these terms. Material changes require notice appropriate to the change and applicable law. Store purchase conditions and any required consent to new charges continue to apply.
